According to Celebrity Golf, over 600 million (600,000,000) are sold each year in the United States.
I believe that I buy (and loose) at least 10% of these!

I'm afraid to say that this is one of the questions in this world that cannot be answered. Golf balls are sold new and used. People go to golf courses and search for golf balls so that they can sell them to the pro-shops for a little quick cash. It is impossible to count exactly how many are sold in a year in just the United States. I'm sure that it could be answered if you were looking for how many golf balls are sold a year at a golf store or a pro-shop, but not in the whole nation. Great question though. Hope this helps. there are 500 million rounds of golf a year, each person purchase's 3 golf balls that would be 1.5 billion
