Get a new outlook on life. When we fall prey to depression, usually it is because the outlook we have been shown thus far has been found by us to not work. The thing to ask yourself is what works? If you had it to design this world (and you did), and yourself in it, what would you make different? These thoughts if you have them now were meant to be and to be shared in order for yourself to feel more into the life you have. This sharing has been called forgiveness by some. And little by little as you share your thoughts and desires, they will become part of the landscape and others will share them and this life as we know it will change to be more like you would like it to be, including your stake in it. Try to be wonderful, wondering...there is much to wonder about. Try to stay puzzled if you will. Because you should know this, this life is not so heavenly the way it is, although there are times it is. See my questions and answers and look towards others who seem to provide positive answers. Seek that positivity, that optimism in life and that is what you will find.

Well, don't kill yourself, especially if you don't want to. Life can be messed up sometimes so you have two options depending on the situation you are in. Either change your situation or change the way you react to it. Of course if you can make changes in your life that will make you feel better, do it. try something new, see if you can find someting fulfilling to do. Or something you enjoy. Otherwise, all you can do is wait it out. Your life will probably get better, it might just take some time. Do what you can to change what makes you miserable but also try to accept what you are going through as something that will pass and make you stronger. If you are willing to go for some counseling, that could really help a lot. You also might consider seeing a doctor and getting an anitdepressant prescribed, that might help. I wish you well, I've gone through this myself and I know you can get through it.

I am the same. I tried to take an overdose a few times but didn't take enough. But I have heard from many sources if you commit suicide, you'll suffer a lot as to when you want to cross over the other side, you might be stuck in this world, kinda like a lost soul, wandering around, not knowing where you belong.
So I decided not to commit suicide.
My only option was to pray. I asked God I didn't want to live in this world, & I'd like to die, if He wants me to stay, I needed His help...
you know this world is s*** I don't care what anyone says. We have to make the best of it.
I wish there was something I could do to help, the only thing I can suggest is go for some healing, it'll really help,

A problem shared is a problem halved they say. The fact you have admitted to it is your first step. So glad you are afraid to do it though. I'm certain it would be a terrible waste. You should perhaps talk to your doctor. It will be hard and it will be strange I know. It sounds as if you may be depressed. I have suffered with this myself and the reason I'm telling you this is so you realise you can come out the other side. No matter how low you get you must know there is a way back up again.

No one ever said life was easy. Hard times come and go, just think back in your past of something that really sucked and see how it didn't last. What ever is going on now too will pass. You also may be suffering from depression and not even know it. Talk to someone(some type of a councilor preferably). They will help you get through this rough patch. If it gets too hard contact your local hospital emergency room, they will also be able to help you. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!

You asked the same question 5 hrs ago, did you take any advice since then? surely some of the links you were given offered some advice, if not i don't think this is the best place for the kind of help you need. Get off your p.c. and talk to someone now.

I have read some of the answers that you have gotten, some are good other ones please ignore. One thing you want to do is talk to someone a friend, I find when I feel like that if I talk to God he always seems to show me that life is worth living for. We all go thru bad times, sometimes terrible times but with Gods help it does make it easier to go thru. Try him it might help.

Is it your job, family troubles or what? If it's your job, consider taking college classes part time to train for a new one. It's never too late to start fresh. If it's family troubles, consider talking to whoever the trouble is with about going to a family counselor.
