What does it do, besides burn calories?

I just bought one a few months ago. Some things I have noticed are:
No pain between my shoulder blades from poor posture on the bike.
It targets the leg and butt muscles - uprights sometimes aren't as effective.
I can watch TV while I ride in comfort.
No pain on my tail bone.

Keep in mind that these comparisons are to a mountain bike and not an upright exercise bike.

It's aerobic excercis, so good for your heart. Recumbent has extra benefit for men as a normal bike often interferes with mens reproductive organs.

Its an excellent exercise in the winter time, because you dont have to run or whatever outside in the cold. it burns lots of calories, builds up your leg muscles, and helps you lose weight and stay healthy in the convenience of your home or gym.
