Don't decide by how much it pays. What do you like doing? What's your passion? I majored in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism because I love to travel. I started out in Health Education, then went to Anthropology, then found my niche in PRT. It's a lot of trial and error. Hang in there, do a little soul searching.... you'll figure it out. Good luck!

Also, consider looking online for a Myers-Briggs personality profiling tool, which can help identify what your personality is, and then place you into categories which will help you narrow down your field of interest (such as technical, teaching, creative, etc)

Also, consider reading the book What Color is Your Parachute - a classic read for people in your predicament. Good luck!

find out what you're good at and what you enjoy doing before you waste so much money on college. just because everyone else is doing it, who says you have to go to school right away? take a couple years off, travel, find out who you are, and then go to school. being a good person, easy to talk to, out-going, friendly will get you a job way easier than someone with a bachelor's degree in marketing or communications.

What kind of things do you like to do? REALLY!!
How much time are you willing to put into school?
Do you wish to own your own business?
Are you a people person?
The first year of college I prerequisite classes, so you basically have one year to decide on your major.
Do you want to go to school close to home? if not, how far away are you willing to go?
How much are you willing to spend?

Just ask yourself what it is you enjoy. No matter what your interests are, if you excel and enjoy it you can always make a career out of it.
Good luck!
