When my daughter was first born we used Huggies size Newborn and 1. After MANY leaky (poopy) diapers, I gave up. I remember sitting on the couch and my daughter, who was just a few weeks old, pooped and I looked down and it seeped out the side onto my shirt. It wasn't like her diaper was full...I had just changed it so that was ridiculous. I remember thinking "I'm writing Huggies a letter about this crap...they owe me money for all the stained clothes!!!" I ruined so many outfits because of that!
For part of the time she was in size 1, I used the Wal-Mart brand. I didn't mind those too much. She had a few leaks with those, but not too many.
When she was a bit bigger, but size 2 was too big for her, I switched to Pampers Swaddlers size 1-2 because I could get a bulk size from Sam's. I kept her in those up until size 2 and I RARELY had a leak with those. I actually think the only leaks I had were when she was having an allergic reaction to antibiotics and had diarrhea.
She's in a size 3 and I tried switching back to the Wal-Mart brand. I didn't like those b/c they weren't stretchy enough. I could just imagine having this stiff diaper on my stomach and then trying to sit up...it'd be hard. So I went to Pampers Baby Dry for one package. I didn't like those either b/c they weren't stretchy (at the time). So I tried Huggies and they leaked and eventually I tried the Cruisers and fell in love. They were just like the Swaddlers for bigger babies. She's had ONE leak since I started these a few months ago and that was because, again, she was sick and she was urinating a TON throughout the night and ended up sleeping 3 hours later...so she had a slight leak. I received a sample of the size 3 Pampers Baby Dry with the new "caterpillar flex" and thought, "These might work." She leaked every single night. I still stick with the Cruisers and I don't have a problem with them. I think they are WONDERFUL!!
Then again, I've had this discussion once with a friend of mine. She used to use Pampers for her first baby b/c Huggies leaked, but now, she used Huggies for her second baby b/c Pampers leak. It really depends on your personal preference and your babies shape.

I had the white cloud for DD. It is the walmart brand. She had thin legs and it really worked! With DD #2, they were horrible. But she had chunky legs. I tried everything under the sun. Pampers and Luvs were the only thing that worked. And my niece could only use huggies. I think every baby is different. You will find out the right one when the diaper stops leaking so much. Good luck!

I have used all kinds of diapers. With my boys I used Huggies always. With my girl I would sometimes buy white cloud or Loves. This is why.....When a baby girl pees...it goes down into the diaper and to the back when she is laying down. Often times when a boy pees it goes straight up and they end up with a wet tee shirt. The huggies really streatch around the waist and it will not come out the top. I used loves at first with the boys...but got tired of waking up to a wet baby!

i buy what i have coupons for. All diaper are basically the same. The strtch tabs are nice though, they do get a better fit.
But diapers like Huggies Supreme--they have a narrow crotch for "easy movement." Well, the narrow crotch just lets the diapers leak more in my experience.

OK my favorite brand is pampers baby dry i have a 4 month old son and they seem to fit his Little body the best and we have less morning leaks i have try-ed every brand i am a mother of six i had five girls and one son and my second fav is huggies and i do not like luvs yes there cheaper and will do in a pinch but the don't fit well and they leak allot you have to change them more often so your really not saving any . then if you must try a cheap brand then fittis is OK sorta same quality as luvs second best . oh yeah one more thing pampers really keeps them dryer and that means less wetness on his skin which mean less chance of getting a rash

I used LUVS because I hated the way cloth feeling diapers bunched up in the front and they leaked so bad. I never once had a LUVS diaper leak and I have two sons who used them. Not to mention they are cheaper than huggies and pampers.

i only buy Pampers Swaddlers. then when my son starts using size 3 i will start getting the Cruisers. Pampers are great because they stretch as they grow. they really hug there bottoms without being too tight. the Huggies Supreme diapers work the same way but i just can't stand the way they smell when they pee in them. i know it sounds crazy, but it's true. Pampers has a great baby smell to them and Huggies doesn't

I use white clouds from walmart bc they are cheap and my daughter rarely wets through them.
I used to use huggies on her when she was a newborn and they worked great. Now that she's older she breaks out if she wears huggies.
Pamper swaddlers are good but if i use a regular pampers on her she wets/dirties through. I find them not to be absorbent enough.
Parents choice is a good diaper to use when they are little but when my daughter got to be close to a year old she started wetting more at once and had many accidents with them.
