My teacher was making jokes that wasn't funny at all and I started laughing sarcatically and then I glared at him.

ummm, it's not a typical joke. It happened when we were playing homeromm volleyball. he made jokes about his former students that were playing volleyball for his class but couldn't win becauseo f his skillzz.

If the jokes were just bad, don't laugh, you don't need to glare at him, this shows disrespect. If the jokes were in poor taste (off color, ethically based) then the teacher was out of line and should be reported to the school board.

No that was not o.k. A teacher has chosen that as his/her profession and is a profession to be respected. The joke being funny or not is not of importance. You showed unnecessary disrespect. Actually what you did is not too uncommon in today's society. The social order of things in life today is overlooked and not valued. I guide my children to refer to an older person as 'elder' not the phrase 'old person'. Persons in certain positions in life are to be respected, not " laughing sarcastically then glared at" at you stated. Actually, just for interest. . . a thought . . . sometime look up the word sarcastic in the dictionary. Humor is one thing . . . sarcasm is pretty harsh and heavy. It means to 'tear (rip or shred at) the soul.

It would be okay if the jokes were mean and at the expense of others. If your teacher simply has a different sense of humor than you do, then what you did was rude.
