Depending what kind of program. Most of these programs are installed thru a CD software, and that's where you can normally get the serial number. If it's a program that has been pre-installed in your computer when you bought it, it might be hard to look for it. If it's a program like "Norton Anitvirus" for example, you can look for the serial number by clicking on "support" and then "about Norton Antivirus". It will give you the expiration date and serial number. I don't know how it works with the other softwares, but I'm sure most of them are in the CD case or packaging (if the program does not require subscription). If you still can't find the serial number, look for the customer service number and call them up. They should know where to locate your serial number. They are also careful of that because there are people calling in for serial numbers because their programs were taken from pirated softwares. If the program is preinstalled, call the company where you bought your computer from.
