DO NOT thin it out!!!! after a while, when all the hair starts to grow back u get all that ugly spikes and u have to get a thin haircut.
also don't cut it in short layers, it will add volume. try loooong layers, long layers actually take away the volume.
try shampoos that say "sleek" or "silkning". i use john frieda curl define, and it works much better then other shampoos.\

Get your hair thinned out. It's when they run this thing that looks like scissors but it only cuts about one third or your hair. It should do the trick!

get it layered i had thick hair but after i got it layered its lovely

i also have really thick hair, when i get my hair cut, i ask them to thin it.. it makes my hair WAY thinner, its great!
