The United Kingdom is a political union made up of four constituent countries: England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The union of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is the latest of several unions formed over the last 300 years. The Kingdom of Scotland and the Kingdom of England had existed as separate states with their own monarchs and political structures since the 9th century. The once independent Principality of Wales fell under the control of English monarchs from the Statute of Rhuddlan in 1284, becoming itself part of the Kingdom of England by the Laws in Wales Act 1535. With the Act of Union 1707, the independent states of England and Scotland, having been in personal union since 1603, agreed to a political union as the Kingdom of Great Britain.

Bloody hell- a number of those solutions are stunning. A notice of suggestion to you; in case you like people interior the united kingdom to furnish you a real answer, attempt asking this at a time as quickly as we are unsleeping. it somewhat is practically 3am right here on the 2d. ok right here is going: England= u . s . Wales= u . s . Scotland = u . s . (one t, no longer 2) Northern eire= u . s . eire/ eire= u . s . top: Britain is the mainland containing England, Wales and Scotland. England shares a west border with Wales and a north border with Scotland. uk is Britain plus Northern eire (so England, Wales, Scotland and northerly eire) eire/ eire isn't area of the united kingdom. the suitable area of the island is Northern eire, and that's a factor of the united kingdom. i'm English, British, from the united kingdom, ecu and an Earthling, from smallest to best.
