Yikes! That's a lot. Doesn't your city have unlimited 30-day passes that you can buy? In Orange County, CA, those passes are only $40 - and you can use them as often as you like. Look up your local transportation company online and see how to get cheaper passes.

Compared to a car, which would run you at least $300 a month... it's a bargain. That $300 a month assumes low payments on an old car, and no parking fees, no accidents, no huge repairs...

Yeah, I'd do the $1460 in a heartbeat.

it depends on what you are comparing it to, are you comparing it to having a car? If so no it is cheap. You have to think alone in gas people spend about 600 + dollars. then you have insurance which is about 1000.00 or more a year and then there is the price of the car, the maintance. So if that is all you are paying and getting to and from work, i say it isn't to much at all.

when you factor in a oil change 29.99 every 3 mo thats $120.00 and i spend about 20$ a week in gas on a ford taurus, thats $1040 so uhh thats not including general maintnance major repairs the cost of depreciation, and a rental car when your car breaks down. and the cost of insurance which at the cheapest is like 30 a mo... so no thats nothing at all. :)
