Male or female...grooming stuff like scented soap, bath oils or shower gel, moisturizer, cologne/ after shave (you can buy those small sample bottles if you're not sure they'll like the scent), facial masks (I just saw -- and bought -- one specifically for men...anti-stress).
Or make a theme basket based on their favorite type of cuisine. For example, Italian, with olive oil, pesto sauce, jars of olives or olive tapanade, a special pasta like inkfish or tri-color, a bottle of wine. Or a "breakfast" basket with different kinds of homemade jams and jellies, marmalade, English or herbal teas, a tea strainer and distinctive tea cup or mug, special coffee, cookies (English shortbread or homemade Christmas sugar cookies are nice).
Tailoring the baskets to the tastes of the recipients shows you made a special effort to create something that would really please them. It's the thought that counts!
Good luck! (And don't forget: a pretty basket is a gift in itself.)

Learn something about each person and create a basket with a personalized spin. For example, if a man you know talks about seeing movies regularly, you could make a basket filled with micorwave popcorn, boxed candy (theatre size box) and a couple movie passes. A woman who enjoys cooking might enjoy a basket filled with pasta, sauces, breadsticks, and a cute set of potholders or recipe cards.

my favorite stress relief item is my Aveeno Stress Relief Body wash. lotion, and bubble bath. It's AMAZING. The cap is light purple and has lavender and chamomile in it. I don't' know what i would do without it and I can get it at most stores. This is great for anybody because it's Aveeno and is not a soap product so it's great for people who may have skin problems and perfect for those who don't. My husband even loves it now! :o) Great gift ideas and happy holidays!

Pocket size colognes or perfumes, soaps, candles, body sprays, candy, small figurines or even little pocket calendar. (I work at Rite Aid, so we have a lot of little items).
