Fortunately recipes that call for peanut butter don't require exact measurements. For smaller amounts, I just count out tablespoons. If more than a cup or so is called for, I read the peanut butter packaging. A 16 ounce jar yields 2 cups of peanut butter.

Depends on how much you need or what your using it for. A serving of peanut butter is 2 tablespoons and is about 170-190 calories. Just remember that 3 teaspoons make 1 tablespoon. 4 tablespoons make a quarter cup and of course 8 tablespoons make a half cup. So there are about 32 tablespoons or 16 servings in a typical peanut butter jar.

There are different measuring cups. For peanut butter do not use a fluid measuring cup. You'll end up with way more p.b. than you need. Make sure you use a "dry" measuring cup.

Spray a measuring cup with Pam or something similar and then spoon peanut butter into it. The Pam will keep it from sticking when you use a spatula to get it out.

It is 8 ounces to a cup. If you have a 16 ounce jar and need a cup just used half the jar. Estimate, then you do not have to measure into a separate measuring cup and spread the mess.

Just use a spoon to put it in a dry measuring cup and then dump it out. It is really quite simple. It is similar to shortening if you have ever used that in a recipe.
