Yes, Vonage only uses about 50-90k of bandwidth during a call. Most high speed internet connections range between 384k and 5 megabit (5000k). All it does is temporarily subtract from the amount of available bandwidth. I have a cable modem and Vonage and have never noticed any problem with reduced bandwidth.

We don't have Vonage in our area. We have high speed cable that doesn't interrupt anything.

sure, that's the beauty about VoiP! all you need is a high-speed Internet connection...cable, DSL or clear-wire...and go...and if you turn your computer off at night...the phone still works!

tip:

before you get it, do some homework!
