Speaker Problems?

Question

I have speakers and now they don't work there is power but they don't work. so what can be the problem, i tried plugging them in and out but no sound what are the possible problems.

- Double-check all of your speaker connections...

- Check your receiver's menu to be on the right output device...

- Is the receiver's speaker selector on the right set of speakers?

- Your receiver's output amplifier may be not working...

- Refer to your receiver's owner's manual in troubleshooting...

If none of these points fix your problem, then it's probably time to
have a trained technician service your receiver, or it may just be
in your best interest to invest in a new surround sound receiver.

Just to insure you should be getting sound try putting the receiver into a sound check mode. This sends a pink noise through each of the speakers 1 at a time. Before starting this make sure that the volume is high enough to be heard (some of the brands volume indicators can be confusing). If you hear sound when you run the check then you have eliminated the speakers or the wiring as the problem and you can focus on the source component, source cabling or programming of the receiver. If you are using digital cables make sure that you have assigned the inputs properly (instructing the receiver that when you select DVD you mean Optical 1....or Coax 2....or whichever it is plugged into.) Also check the input mode and make sure it is on auto so it can detect digital signals or analog signals and adjust accordingly. If connected to DVD make sure the digital output is set to PCM and that the DTS output is on( in the DVD set-up menu). Hope some of this helps.

if its on ur computer why dont u try on ur bottom left hand corner of ur computer theres a sound icon and click dat n u can decide ur sound if dat doesnt work u should call da store u got it from
