Okay clear your history ...tools/internet options click clear history
while you are there click delete files, including off line content and click clear cookies
right click the task bar, click start program tab, in document section click clear

oh yeah cross fingers, just kidding, most or your tracks will be covered.

You sound young. Open up your web browser and press ctrl+H some web browsers use other hot keys. Delete the history menu is one appears. You can right click on the web/ history entry's and select delete continue this until they are all gone. Sometimes there will be a delete all history button.

Also go into the web browsers options this can differ depending on the web browser and try to locate the Clear privet data or clear cookies or past pages visited or clear history button. The names could be different of course depending on the web browser too.

If you tell me the web browser you were using I could help you more. You may also need to empty your temp folders witch depending on your operating system will be in different places and you may have more then one temp folder.

It is less likely you will need to empty your temp folders and somethings you can do this easily though the web browser. If you downloaded stuff you may need to delete things in the recent folder.

Jess,

The steps listed above are good, but the best way is to, yes, download a program.

Ccleaner is free, and cleans up history, cookies, index files, and all sorts of stuff, some of which is next to impossible to clean out manually.

Update and run your antivirus software, just in case you caught something.
