I don't know how old he/she is, but I heard that Canned Cat Food will give your cat the "poops" and I don't want that. so should I just get Kitten Food with lots of nutrients and just get it wet?

My cats get dry food for feeding and wet for treats. Don't soggy down the dry food. Good luck!

Some cat and kittens do get the 'runs' when fed wet food. But it is because the animals digestive system is use to one thing, when a new one is introduced the body dose not know how to react at first. It will not harm your cat if you give her canned food. Though be prepared it might give her the 'runs' for a few days, and if the 'runs' do not pass with in a few days (3-4) your kittens digestive system will not take to the canned food. In which case you can always try a different brand. Different brands have different things in them, which will have different reactions to the cats digestive system. Or you can mix her dry food with milk, to add in extra vitamins. I would suggest canned milk (you can buy at walmart) its thicker and has more vitamins in it. Though any milk will do. But you should feed your cat both Hard and Canned. Feed at max 1 can of wet food a day. And leave dry out so all day. That way the kitten has access to the food. Also, this will allow maximum vitamin intake. Good Luck.
P.s Keep in mind some cats just dont like canned food,

Cats tend to prefer wet food to dry food but...like they say...it's more expensive. But I would suggest serving the food as it was meant to be served by the manufacturer.

Wetting dry food down would do something similar to soaking bread crumbs or croutons in water. It would mess with the consistency and add little goodness. I would think the cats wouldn't enjoy the resulting consistency too much.

But you may get away with it even if it's yucky to them. In my experience, most cats will eat most food items that they are presented with...even if they aren't very tasty...because that's all they have to eat.

With my 2 cats what I've chosen to do is to serve a tiny tin of wet food in the morning and at night...and then leave out dry food for their noshing in between meals. I work too many hours to police their food, but 1 of my cats is heavier. My cats' vet says that wet food will fill them up more for fewer calories in the long run, so my fat cat shouldn't get any fatter, and my thinner cat will be happy too.

They both love the wet food and actually snack on the dry food. And the bonus is that they never wake me up in the morning because they are upset that I've slept in past their meal time....

Note: I've only had trouble with them getting the "poops" when they've been sick...not as a result of food.

I feed my cat canned food in the morning and at night, then dry feed during the day. He's never had a problem with runny poop. Canned food in the long run is actually better for your cat because it has so much water, so it's a great way to get your cat the extra water they bodies need.

When I first go my kittens i fed them dry food mixed w/ a little canned food, not much and they didn't have any problems. Soon they didn't want any canned, Now when I try to give them moist or canned foods as a treat they turn there noses, even the moist cat treats they don't like, just the crunchy ones.

I am with Kamikaze all the way.

I KNOW exactly what is in the food my cats eat as I prepare it myself from organic, hormone and antibiotic free, meat from the butcher. The same meat I eat (actually the cats eat more meat than I do). They have been eating this meat for seven years now.

Their poops are small, firm and don't smell. Their eyes are bright, coats are soft and glowing and my cats are in their "teens"

Don't miss the "golden window" with a kitten when he will accept the raw meat readily and have its benefits right off the bat.

If you want a happy cat, give it both. Give it hard food, but don't wet it. You can mix canned & hard food. Or you could give him hard food and every evening give it a canned food. They would rather have the best meal in the evening.

I don't feel comfortable with my cats eating dead, euthanized cats and dogs, grains, etc, so I feed them a totally raw diet. Their poops are small and don't smell because they absorb almost all the nutrients in their food, so there isn't much waste left over.

If you do want to go with a kibble or canned food (which won't give your cat wierd poops if they are well adjusted to it), get a brand that uses little to no grains, and uses human grade meat.

My mom used to give her cats canned cat food every morning-mixing it in with the hard cat food. Then as the cats got older their fangs started falling out. The vet said it was because they got too much canned cat food. I'd stick to the hard food...
