I drank tequila yesterday and I have to say it is the worst thing I have ever put in my mouth! It was heinous, my throat and chest was on fire! Why do people drink it?? Lager is pretty disgusting too, no wonder it takes men so long to drink a pint. My favourite is a cherry brandy and coke. Do you think as you get older you get used to the taste of alcohol? Because I'm such a lightweight at the moment it's embarrassing.

Jagermeister no question. No rival for vial on the taste scale!

You had a Tequila experience, but don't let that keep you from allowing your palette to grow. Tequila can be very good. It's like any kind of alcohol, it depends on the quality and how you chose to try it... straight shot vs a mixed cocktail. Don Julio agave is phenomenally good (but expensive!). Very smooth and hardly a burn at the end - a real sipping tequila to be appreciated.

Cheers

whilst I even have in no way had it i'm particular that's the worst beverage I even have ever seen fed on in spite of what your tastes are. i replaced into in a biker bar, an somewhat busy place, in CT whilst a below the effect of alcohol guy wandered ain and threw 1 / 4 on the bar teaching the bartender to "squeeze him one". The bartender proceeded to get a sparkling rag from below the bar and wipe the completed bar down of melted ice, spilled beverages, etc. whilst complete the bartender pulled out an outsized shot glass and squeezed the contents of the rag into it. The bartender referred to as the drink a "wipe" and that i've got heard it refered to in different circles as a "bar wipe" yet a lifeless ringer for the below the effect of alcohol taking photos down a mix of despite spilled on the bar interior the final hour nevertheless makes me gag at present.

I used to drink over 20 beers a day. If I was a lightweight I would be wealthy not poor - heavy drinking is expensive.

I find gin awful. I don't know why I dislike it so much - I ;love most spirits. Tequila? A whole bottle please? Rum? Yes - as much as possible! I just don't like gin.

Then again I am an alcoholic and don't drink anymore.

Being a lightweight at drinking is perfectly fine, no embarrassment about it. Is it an honorable thing to be able to guzzle down lots of alcohol? Why so? If anyone makes fun of you, ignore them because their idea of what's admirable in drinking - being able to drink lots - really is a STUPID thing to be proud of.

Anywho, I'd say straight gin is the absolute worst. Oh, and a Manhattan, it's like diesel fuel!

Drink what tastes good to you. If you like wine or light mixed drinks, drink those. If you just think alcohol is overpowering in mixed drinks, ask the bartender for a half-shot in your drink. Drink socially with what makes you happy. Don't drink someone else's choice to impress them.

The most evil drink in my humble but experienced opinion is Mescal.
It is a close cousin to tequila.

Pastis ,pernod,Rum and black,Yates Aussie white and cider, red witch(pernod, cider, black} all give you hangovers straight out of hell.Red wine and brandy, straight off the richter scale. How about a few port and brandies? wow I know how to live! Pity it's killing me! You definitely get used to it .I actually like the old Mothers ruin .Nothing nicer than a large gin and tonic on a balmy summers evening--stick a bit of lemon in it and you can kid yourself it's actually healthy. Was going to have an Earl Grey but think I'll look for that gin bottle------now where can they have hidden it this time?
