I feel chemistry with this guy I work with and we recently had a social gathering away from work where some alchohol was involved. Everyone was relaxed and all the sudden this other guy in our line of work came over and put his arm around my waist/hips and the guy from my work was sitting across from me talking to me and he came up out of his seat saying whoa!!!!!! Whoa!!! Is this a normal reaction from a man or does this mean he was trying to protect his interest?

There is obviously chemistry between the two of you. He may have thought the other guy putting his arms around you was way out of line. I would think so too. It is good to have a friend that is protective of you whether you two ever act on it or not. It is nice to have a good friend that looks out for you (not just his interests).

He may have been or he may have just being trying to protect you from someone he thought had had a little too much to drink..Thank him and see what he says...I would rather be with someone like that then someone that just comes up to you and takes it for granted he can just grab you.............

That's a good indicator that he may be interested. Play off it by saying something like, "Thanks for defending my honor the other night. If I didn't know better, I'd think you like me." That way you've kind of put it out there.

maybe but maybe the other guy was just out of line and it was his man instinct to make sure you were comfortable
