not owned by a single person or family, but slaves to the government. We do all the menial labor, they take the money and toss us back our "living wage"(which is on life support!) The caste system is still firmly in place and keeping people in their places and the best we can hope for is to be treated decently-do you agree?

im pretty sure the Bible does NOT condone slavery...
(but i might be wrong & you might be right.. so OK)

& i can't seem to see the connection between the 2 statements
although I AGREE we still very much have slaves today...
(& i don't see why we should not... for people are slaves to whatever controls them)

if some people feel that they are slaves to their own government, they risk life & limb to get OUT of that country to go to another (free) country... like the US where people can start over & rant all they want.

if those people are already in a free country & they still feel enslaved, then they have the freedom to live in... (not to offend anyone)... a different country, say North Korea or a few places in the Middle East, or even just go to a different country, when their own government is NOT really forcing them to stay anyway (then let them be totally free wherever they want to be)

i think of the word you have been searching for replaced into "adamant." confident, the bible condones, endorses, or perhaps instructions slavery. it relatively is a reality, no longer an assumption. So what? That it does demonstrates: -- "morality" evolves and is time/society based (no longer "absolute" as many bible believers declare) -- in the experience that your claimed "god" have been genuine, it contradicts itself distinctive circumstances in this subject on my own confident, I condemn the classic Greeks (and Romans, and nineteenth-century human beings, and others) for possessing slaves. i'm consistent that way. Peace.

There is also an active slave trade in the world......the selling and buying of people. Look it up on the Net. It is alive and well, just not out in the open.
