My dad did a report on Christmas back in high school, and he found out that Jesus really wasn't born during Christmas day, but sometime either around April or May. Plus, I asked someone at my church if his true birth was written in the bible, and he/she said yes. What I don't understand is this: why do we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ around Christmas time when he wasn't exactly born during that holiday? And if Jesus was born sometime around May or April, how come we don't celebrate his birth around those months?

Let me also ask you this, did Jesus die on Christmas day or did he die in some other date?

Jesus was born either September 28 or 29. December 25 is the day Jesus was conceived. So, you can celebrate Christmas as the actual day Christ was sent to the earth to become our savior. It does tell this fact in the bible in the first chapter of Luke. It does tell the date but you will have to do some searching to find it. But, in simple terms the roman government decided tax the Israels so it would reason they would have the Israel nation go to their home places after the harvest late fall or in September. Don't let a day of the year take away the joy of Christmas for you. The real joy of Christmas is Christ himself, so spread his love to all you in contact with to honor our savior Emmanuel.

First of all, the Bible says nothing whatsoever about celebrating the birth of Jesus. The common celebration today is based on pagan holidays with the name of Christianity stamped upon them.
Your father's research was probably faulty in that proper research would show that Jesus was born six months after John the Baptist who was born in the Spring, leaving Jesus to be born probably in late September.

I laugh at people who make a big deal about when Jesus was or was not borne ! All the wining about Pagan Holidays is silly.

Early Church Leaders choose dates that were already used to make it easier for new converts, that doesn't bother me, I doubt it bothers Jesus, and it shouldn't bother you !

Just Glory in Christ, Praise Him, Worship Him, and Celebrate His Birth on December 25, or January 07, or whenever. Christmas is all about Jesus not us.

The date was changed to correspond with a pagan holiday...go figure. The exact date shouldn't be THAT important anyway, Jesus didn't celebrate His own birthday. It would be neat to find out when it was first celebrated and why (probably pagan again). Plus, He was probably born around 4BC--this is because of error when the Romans wrote the calendar. Jesus came to save us, not have us celebrate His birthday.

Jesus died on Nisan 14. he was 33 1/2 years old. count six month forward and you come to October. remember Nisan 14 was the last supper or the passover. he was not born in dec. that is a pagan holiday. the Shepard's where out in the field and in dec is the cold and rainy season. if Jehovah wanted us to know when Jesus was born it would be in the bible. Jesus Christ told us to celebrate his death. since passover is once a year we celebrate it once a year. not everyday or every week.

You can actually thank a pagan (Constantine) for celebration of Dec 25th as Christmas which corresponds roughly with a pagan celebration of the winter soltice. The reason it was chosen, I've read, was in order to make the attempt of converting the pagans to chistianity easier. For me it puts some serious doubt of the whole Nativity story itself

. Jesus for sure replaced into born interior the month of Ethanim (September-October) of the year 2 B.C.E., replaced into baptized related to the comparable time of the year in 29 C.E., and died approximately 3:00 p.m. on Friday, the 14th day of the spring month of Nisan (March-April), 33 C.E. the inspiration for those dates is as follows: Jesus replaced into born approximately six months after the delivery of his relative John (the Baptizer), in the process the guideline of Roman Emperor Caesar Augustus (31 B.C.E.–14 C.E.) and the Syrian governorship of Quirinius , and in direction of the close of the reign of Herod the super over Judea.—Mt 2:a million, 13, 20-22; Lu a million:24-31, 36; 2:a million, 2, 7.
