I would like to see the government advance and actually make most of our business and government secrets go away by publishing them and making the legality of future secrets subject to clear and concise complete over site. Our secrets our what gets us into the messes like the Vietnam and the Iraq War, and then keeps us in the war because everyone is trying to hide the responsibility for starting the war.
Just look at the Republicans now attacking each other, over their lack of, Congressional over site of the Executive Branch and the common sense of sharing information with those who put them in their jobs to do our business.
Will we ever learn?

The crimes and corruption that are being covered up by the National Security Act of '47. This country would not be so corrupt and in such dire straights if the government was made to be more transparent. No hiding of evil acts against other nations and against their own citizens anymore.
If the people knew the full truth-- more politicians, military leadership, the industrial military complex, and various gov't agencies would be held accountable for their sometimes evil actions that benefit themselves and destroy humanity.

I'd love to know who authorized the flight that allowed Bin Laden's family to fly from the U.S. when 1000's of American citizens were stranded outside of the U.S. and couldn't get home for a week following 9-11.
