Peanut butter does not melt and hold together the crispies like marsh mallow. I do have another recipe that does taste a bit like that though and it used peanut butter. Crunchy Fudge 1/2 C. light corn syrup 1 6oz. package butterscotch morsels 1/2 C. peanut butter 4 C. Rice Krispies Melt butterscotch morsels, peanut butter, and syrup in saucepan, stirring until. blended. Add Rice Krispies. Press into a buttered 8" pan. Chill. If you want to really be decadent then make a topping for it. In a double boiler: 1 6oz. package semi-sweet chocolate chips, 1/2 C. sifted confectioners sugar, 2 Tbs. butter, 1 Tbs. water. Stir until melted and blended. Spread over chilled mixture. Yummy!

Of course, homemade is always the best. Made with peanut butter and some chocolate cips or original classic.

Storebaught is also alright if you're culinarily illiterate or to use as scenery for a gingrbread house. Good to give to the kids while the grown-ups wait till they go to bed to indulge in the home made ones.

Oh-----homemade of course. And they are so much fun to make. I add a little bit too much marshmallows so they are more gooey. I think the ones at the store are dry. Plus if you want the varieties they have at the store, you can add chocolate chips, or drizzle melted chocolate on top,. YUM!
