What is the point of love??

Question

I'm 25 and I have chose not to get a girl at all. I am not gay, but I have never had any emotional attatchment to a woman before. I looked for a woman, and I never asked one out, but I gave up. All the girls I know are bitches that are no better than the local prostitutes. I will never get married, I will not have any kids, as I hate little kids. I will move to the Caribbean and enjoy myself, smoking cigars and drinking, with no one bitching at me, while all my friends (I know, I know, it's suprising I have some) have to deal with little kids, and a wife they have to put up with. I would not want to share my life with anyone else, as it is MY life, and is about me. I can take care of myself and I don't need some girl to love me. Love is gushy and too weak for me. So why am I wrong in saying I should be alone?Something is telling me I'm ruining my life though, but I push that thought out of my head. Who cares about my life? Women are evil and they try to use us. I can't be used. I am not a fool that falls into love.

And I have no use for sex. Can live without it.

WOMEN use MEN? ~chokes while laughing~ You're hysterical. Men use women, and with that attitude, no woman will even LOOK at you. Not all men do, but 90% do, and even with me knowing that, I don't tackle guys with words. It's unfair. Not all women are the same. You said you've never been in a relationship, but yet you sound like you're holding some grudge. If you've never been in a relationship, then why do you think women are evil? If you ask me, that sounds kinda weird. Get off women's back, and maybe one day, you'll find someone that really does love you. What you told us was that all the girls you KNOW are like that, but you don't know every woman in the world. Don't go out just looking for a woman, but keep the option open. Don't be so sure that EVERY woman is a mean brat. With that attitude, no girl will want anything to do with you. If this was the attitude you had while looking for a woman to date, then that's why you never found one. No woman is going to put up with someone pretty much called them a brat because they're saying all women are. Us girls could nag on a lot of things about guys, too, but we don't.

You have most of the classic signs of narcissistic personality disorder. Self centred, believe women are out to get you, little meaningful attachment to others. Usually you need to have very bad early relationships with parental figures and some inate disposition to develop this. Most people who live rich lives say later in life that learning to love and care for other people is one of the things that they cherish the most. If you cannot find anyone other than the "bitches" maybe you need to look at where you are in your life and ask yourself why there are no decent women about? Often we attract what we project. You seem to project hatred towards women, so you probably are subconciously tuning out any good women and picking up on the bad ones to gel with your view. I know nothing of your background, but you could speak to a counsellor if you really want to have someone provide some third party perspective.
That said, if you really would prefer to live alone, you're allowed to. It's all choices once you're an adult.

Well, I'm afriad I must disagree with everything you have said. Love is not for fools, it is the fools who do not care to "waste" their emotions on other people. To be in love is not to be weak or fearful or stupid; love has made even the strongest men fall to their knees praying to be loved in return by the woman of their dreams. Sharing your life with someone else is what makes life enjoyable. I could not bare to think of myself as an old woman never to have been married or ever had any relationship with a man. As a small child, the first desire I ever remember having was to fall in love and experience the joy and wonder of the greatest emotion ever to exist. Because that's exactly what it is, the greatest feeling you will ever get. It's like you need that person, you cannot live without them, they give you everything you have ever asked for, finally your life is complete and you would like nothing more then to just sit next to them for an eternity. You would willingly die for them, give them the world. Suddenly everything seems perfect when you are with them, nothing is wrong, only purity and goodness exists.

I assure you that not all women are nasty and pointless. There are so many women out there that are good natured and would like nothing more then to settle down to an easy life with a kind man.

If you think that it is your decision whether to fall in love or not you are gravely mistaken. One day you may find yourself at the mercy of your heart, and in a relationship that you never knew existed until that moment.

However it is not my place to tell you that you must fall in love. All I am saying is that the vast majority of people are or have been in love and most of them will agree with me when I say that you are not living your life to the fullest if you die without ever being in love. If you choose to always be a bachlor, I pitty you, for you are missing out on the greatest miracle of all.

That is your choice but you have to realize that most girls are really cool and aren't total bitches unless you are a jerk to them.
Love is not always romantic like I love my parents and my sister in a totally different way than i love my friends, I love my girlfriend in a romantic way but love is all about choice and you always have a choice not to participate. I personally think you are missing out but there are a lot of great girls out there, you just need tpo find a girl who is intersted in the same things as you and who you are attracted to.

I hope you like being alone because with your attitude that is how you are going to be the rest of your life. You seem like you have something against the world and you have a really bad outlook on women and they probably aren't attracted to people that trash talk women and say they don't like women and that they are all bithches. I hope you like your hand too because it is going to be your only friend for the rest of your life.

More power to you. I think love is a way our species has evolved towards establishing stability for child rearing. I mean there'd never be any families w/o it, and families are the BEST environment for the survival of young humans.

It has also been a big factor in the development of civilization. There tends to be less killing when humans pair off and stay monogamous. However that's not something you need to concern yourself with. Good luck and wear sunblock.

And little kids are cute and give you a warm feeling when they smile. No one said they had to run your life.
