I have two very small bumps that look like white heads on the other side of my lip. They have been there for almost 2 days maybe. They are somewhat painful when eating or putting on chapstick. Anyone know what they are? Will salt water help this go away? I know that it's not anything like an STD, so lets just skip that answer! Thanks!

check yourself. this site will give you a description of all different types of mouth sores. http://www.webmd.com/content/article/103/107113.htm
note: i know you don't think it's herpes, but ask yourself if you've kissed anyone within the last 3 weeks (herpes can be contracted by just kissing, though it's not as likely as sex).

Same as above. Canker sore. It'll go away eventually, so don't worry about it. I think it occurs when your body heats up. I remember getting them a lot when I had braces...canker sores are so annoying, but I didn't really do anything about it. There are some medical gels you can use to help the process though.

Are they canker sores? Sounds like it..canker sores form when you break the delicate lining on the inside of your mouth..I think its just part of the healing process..I know they can come from biting your lip/cheek or chewing on things like pen tops etc.,sometimes from bristles on your tooth brush. Ive always heard mouthwash is good for them, but it hurts! I know they make something for them you can get at the store to...

Most likely a canker sore. Take motrin, or advil to ease the pain. You can ice them too.

yes, probably a canker sore, if you've been stressed out or have recently been sick, especially a cold or stomach virus, that will usually cause them. By the way, my dad frequently gets them and he uses Listerine and it clears them right up!

canker sore, or it could just be an infection if you accidently keep biting your cheek. Yes, salt water will help. (most gargling solutions are good)

yes canker sours also know as cold sours. I like to refer to them as mouth herpes. Brought on by stress and lack of sleep. You can put yogurt on them (My dad says that helps) I just like to bite them.
