You have the abbreviation backwards.

X is the letter "chi" in Greek, the first letter of the "Christos". Therefore, scribes for centuries used Christ's first initial in abbreviations like "Xmas" (Christmas, aka the "Christ Mass"), "Xian" (Christian), etc.

Christ-X would then mean "Christ-Christ", which doesn't make sense.
