I had the same problem when looking for family members grave.
First you need to know the persons full name, the state & county where they died. Then you need to call that county's record office. The one that deal with brith and death records. Ask them if they know what mourturay that person or persons family used. If not ask them for information on any and all moutries in ther area in which the person died. But rememeber many mourturaies use many differnt cemitaries. So be specific about the name, in some cases you might have to know the persons faith. Just in case they were buried in a church or Temle run cemetary. That was what happended my case. We found my family memeber near a local church.

You can call all 3 or 4 or so undertakers in the vicinity where the person died, has a business, and when you get the right undertaker, he will consult his records and that will tell him exactly where is that particular body buried.

Well, you can't ask him/her --unless of course its ghost wanders near you at night and then you could ask the ghost. Or follow it, but that could get scary
