People assume that when you have a front wheel drive car, you are much better off than with rear wheel drive. It does seem like that, but while a rear wheel drive "fishtails", front wheel drive "fish-heads." Yes, go for winter tires or all seasons.

Personally, any set of good tires with at least 6/32nds of an inch worth of tread left on them should do you just fine. It is more important to drive slowly, and cautiously during the winter months, than it is to haul *** with a set of snow tires. Common sense will get you a long way. If you don't have to drive then don't.

I would buy a set of winter snow tires for your car. Typically shops will charge you $18 to mount and balance the tires. When spring rolls around, have the all seasons put back on.

Get four snow tires. Some good ones are the winterforce ones at tirerack.com. For about $50 each, you will be set for years to come. You will be able to go anywhere in the snow with these tires.
