Beans because of the fiber that steak doesn't have. Beans lowers cholesterol while steak would cause it to rise. Beans are high in nutrition. Beans come in many varieties. Beans have a longer shelf life. Although they would have to be eaten with other sources such as rice or seeds and what have you, to get the complete protein, scientists have now discovered that it does not have to be within the 4 hour time frame they once thought.

Beans are better because they don't contain fat or cholesterol. If someone uses beans as their only protein source, I think they need to choose certain varieties so that they get all the protein building blocks. No single bean has all the basic amino acids. Steak eaters also have to worry about chemical and bacterial contamination.

Some beans are not a source of complete protein, they must be eaten in conjuction with rice. Beans are cheaper, require less cooking, and have less fat content than steaks but don't taste anywhere near as good. Also some beans such as kidney beans contain harmful toxins (lectins) which must be removed through soaking and cooking. And steak doesnt give you gas.

As far as tastes I'd rather have Steak. Its a catch 22 beans give me horrible gas and it seems as if steak takes 2 days to digest so I always feel extremely full for a few days

Both are a source of protein and amino acids.........very important to the body.....However the beans have no fat! No saturated fat and no cholesterol...........simple choice eat beans they are better for you..............But a good steak don't hurt sometimes.
