Now, you said if I were God, so here goes!

If I were God and were out to dole out punishment, I would start with the religiously pious and the self-righteous FIRST!! Since they hold everybody else up to high standards, I would make sure that these same people met the same high standards! The religiously pious set themselves up to act like God, so I would wipe out THEM and THEIR ENTIRE CITIES first! It is because I am God (according to your question), and I am a jealous God who does not want any other God set before me! Nor would I appreciate the competition! So, therefore, the cities with the most self-righteous, pious people would go FIRST!!

Since I am NOT God, then I shall not be making these judgments on you and your society. However, since I AM a former English teacher, I WILL be GRADING you for the poor grammar, spelling, and context of your question!

GRAMMAR: Run on sentences, improper use on punctuation, poor sentence structure, failure to properly use capitalization.
GRADE: D

SPELLING: Misspelled the following words: lewd, literally, considering, consider, Gomarrah, and made the word "throughout" two separate words.
GRADE: C

CONTEXT: Poorly researched, many misconceptions, text is based more conjecture and opinion rather than fact.
GRADE: F

OVERALL GRADE: D
(That grade is about as generous as you would get from ANY English teacher!)

Ezekial 16:49 tells the sin of Sodom

2016-05-22 23:54:49 · answer #3 · answered by Anonymous · 0 0

You are writing about what God did to an area because of sin in the Old Testament. The Old Testament is for our study of how we are to live our lives. Its for examples and much more.

We now have the New Testament. Everyone in their hearts know what is right and wrong. They know what is sin and what is not sin. If a person chooses to sin, then they will reap what they sow.

Jesus Christ died for the sins of all the world from the beginning to the end. Only when we repent and accept Him and desire to make a change in our lives does this sin end in our lives.

Worry not for the cities of the world. There's will come to them at the time of the return of Jesus Christ. Stay focus friend.><>

Well, > it seems to me, you're silly enough to believe most any junk and not smart enough to really see what your question infers.
If you think there are cities or locations that condone sodomy and that stuff and God has not destroyed them (and there are many I AGREE to that,) But it only exemplifies, that GOD, don't now or ever has stepped in to correct what YOU and the zealots perceive as sin. Just natural disasters. Also He don't speak or write tablets. It was just several drunk fools partying in the desert, playing a trick on you. You are not in the garden. He is not here (but is everywhere) and only helps when you help yourself. get a life.

God never said He was destroying Sodom and Gomorrah because of lewd living, incest and homosexuality. Gen 18:20-21 says And the Lord said, "Since the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah has become great, and since their sin has become very grave,
I will descend now and see, whether according to her cry, which has come to Me, they have done; [I will wreak] destruction [upon them]; and if not, I will know."

Ezekiel 16:49-50 says Now this was the sin of Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy. They were haughty and did detestable things before me. Therefore I did away with them as you have seen.

Now tell me which of the cities have committed this sin?

Actually, I am praying more that the Holy Spirit will work in their hearts to bring a change. I pray that God will grant mercy instead of justice. I guess that is because I know people who are in a bad lifestyle and would not want God to destroy them.

I do not know what you are talking about. As far as I know Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed for rape and inhospitality. That does not mean that you can cover it all up under the blanket condemnation of a loving homosexual relationship. Rape is about abuse of power and incest is rape, sex is about love and expression.

Los Angeles - for the unholy trinity of a recent photo op of Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears.

And god should give them a power outage and let them starve to death and not be able to apply makeup.

BTW - excellent call on not only WHICH cities should I destroy, but the touch of HOW I should destroy them.

Nobody loves ya like Jesus, baby!

if anyone (including God) chooses to destroy an entire city, then you have to accept the fact that you are also destroying innocent people, children, and those that believe in you. To destroy an entire city is an act of evil, not "cleansing"

He is already punishing them by giving them teachers of faulty doctrine that will lead them to destruction. He is not interfering with all their plans against the true Church so they may fill up on the punishment due them.
