Girls, girls, let's play nice, no name calling.
You don't get sick from cold weather, you get sick from germs & viruses. but, why be out in winter with no excuse to dress like a, uh... well, so scantily. who were you trying to get attention from & if successfull at getting the attention was it the positive kind you'd hoped for or did that person(s) think you must be on drugs or something to be out in 40 degrees in a tank, etc. Think.

Actually a cold is caused by a virus not cold temperature.
However, if you're not feeling too well and your body defences are down, then yes you could get a cold. But that does not happen often. You can catch a cold if you're dressed properly and shake hands with a person that has a cold
and hasn't washed his hands or somebody sneezes on you. But, you do should wear appropiate clothing according to weather conditions.

Are you really that stressed about it? Do you not understand that normal people are cold @ 40 degrees? The neighbors would probably assume she was a horrible mother, not clothing you properly in the middle of december. Sweaters are too cute not to wear anyway.

A cold is caused by a virus. You can catch a cold at any temperature, in any weather.

Your Mother is right. You can catch cold when you do not dress
appropriately for the weather.

Thank you very much, while you're up.
