Usually most of the goodness in fruit and veg is in or just under the skin so i assume apple peel must be good for you. As with all fruit and veg it is neccessary to wash them thouroghly to get all the pesticides and bad stuff off them.

If you buy the apples in the store that are very shiny and healthy-looking, chances are they have pesticides on them. The peel is the most nutritious part of the apple, but there is more risk to eating those bad chemicals than not eating the peel. If you want to eat apples, you shoul eat organic apples or take the peel off.

Don't believe that pesticides are that bad? Well, just think: people use them to kill and keep away insects, diseases, and even small animals. And then you eat that stuff. Gross, huh?

The apple peel has the most vitamins in the whole apple. Just wash them thoroughly in warm water to remove any pesticides there may be on them and enjoy.

Both - the peels have fiber which is good for you but apples are very high in pesticides. It is one of the few foods I buy organic. You should also use a good fruit/veg wash on all produce before eating. If the product is not organic, it will help reduce the amount of pestcides on the produce. All fruits/veggies, even organic, are somewhat dirty because of the general enviroment, how they are farmed, the fact that they are grown outside, etc.

They are good for you because of their high fiber content. Apples can have pesticides on the outside- they still may remain even after washing, so the safest bet is to go with organic.

you do no longer prefer to apply cleansing soap because of the fact cleansing soap is absorbed by employing the apples. Fruit should not be harvested that quickly after spraying with insecticides... its risky to devour them even once you wash them with water. Farmers use one among those pesticide called "organophosphates". while flowers are sparayed, the pesticide breaks down with the aid of the years. Given sufficient time, insecticides are meant to expend. Farmers time the spraying with the harvesting so as that sufficient time lapses between spraying and harvesting. Produce absorbs insecticides. So no quantity of washing is going to bathe it off. learn have been accomplished that coach produce will frequently nonetheless has pesticide residue, even after that's picked, packaged, shipped and washed. in my opinion, your husband's college adviser would not have given you the apples. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, there are somewhat threat unfastened "insecticides" that are used in organic and organic farming. it ought to be he used a kind of varieties of insecticides. in my opinion, if I have been you, i would not devour them till i found out what style of pesticide he used. If he used an organophosphate, i would not devour them. i could throw them out. discover out the call of the pesticide, do somewhat learn, and discover out if the apples are secure to devour that quickly after spraying.
