Where else are pitbulls illegal in this country?

I asked about the pitbulls being legal in miami. I was told by a bunch of you no there not (thank u...im sad though). I am in school at UM and will be done in may. I want to get my masters somewhere else but is there any other places in the usa that they are not legal...so i dont go to tht terrible, doggie racist place too :)

I would call the local animal control where you want to move to before you move. I know that you cannot have them in Denver, CO, and Kansas City, MO; and there are restrictions in some cities. They are allowed in Manhattan, KS (where Kansas State University is located) and in Lawrence, KS (where The University of Kansas is located). Good luck!

Hi I think that pitbulls are not allowed in the Carolinas but I'm not to sure on this; I do know that some places in Maine if a pitbull is brought into a shelter most of the time the animal will get destroyed instead of being placed in an adopted home>>Pits are only aggresive if the owner has brought them up that way; Pits like any other dog can be a very good dog; they have gotten such a bad rap and this is why a lot of states have banned them however there are Pit rescues that find loving homes for these animals but not all Pits can be placed in an adopted home because of the up bringing that they got prior to being rescued..Pits are used to fight becaused of the amount of pressure that is in their jaw when they lock them down and this is why they can be a very dangerous animal; in most Pitbull fights the owner has to hit the animal to get it to release the object it has in its mouth..Still today there is a Pibull fights going on in most of the states ilegally;the police try to catch them but they aren't always successful..When an owner trains a Pitbull to fight and the animal won't fight any more most of the time the owner will either shoot the animal or use other methods of cruilty; Pits are known for not liking a lot of other animals too. Again it all depends on how they are raised; I have gotten my information from a local shelter and I have done some of my own reserch on Pitbulls remember there is no bad dogs its how they are raised...

Pit Bulls are a troublesome breed, but they would probably improve greatly with the right inner breeding. Like a German Sheppard breed with a Pitbull might be a good breed for training and keeping there cool under fire, if you know what I mean.
When I was kid the dog of choose was a German Sheppard, and every other breed was mixed with a German Sheppard. The G. Sheppard's have many good qualities and one bad quality. Their rear quarter is weak and brakes down often in old age. I have no doubt that inner breeding would help both breeds weakness's if the other breed was about the same size as a Sheppard, like a Pitbull.
Now the pitbull is the inbreed dog of the present, and it seems like all the mutes are now part pitbull.

pittbulls are breed for fighitn and protction so hun its not that peole are racist of the dogs it just been proven no matter who tame the breed if its pit to chiauaa that it can trun on its owner if it has been word trained or trained in anyway. i know in tx if u live ina an apt complex or in a resdent where small childern are around u may not have them there other then that there only a leash law here nothing ageinst the dogs but texas has this law that if the dog of breeds are pit rot german shepard dobby chow they will be put down on site these are condred dangours breeds of dogs dont ask me why akc put that list out but hey u still see them in dog shows so u just got to look up loacl laws
