Because Islam is everything that they are. It is their way of life. what they are, what they breath, they pray five times a day, the first word that they answer with comes with the word Allah. and when someone say something about them, it hurts them deeply, and cuts them through. and if you tell them what you see and they don't, they accuse you of lies. The truth hurts them much deeper, because they are so close to their religion. from the day they are born, they are raised and bread with Islam. Islam is their life. That is why they go crazy. As they say, they consider it an attack on all Muslims, they say it is an attack on Islam and their prophet. If you check, it seems everthing anyone say is an attack on Islam and their prophet, inculding if one converted from Islam, etc.
Christians do not go crazy because our basic main teaching is forgivness and to love one another. Not that we don't have crazy ones here and there, we do. But, we will not burn buildings, kill people and boycott a whole country over a few pictures. Nor do we riots when their men of religion call us violent, if we do, we will be boycotting them all the time, as they attack us every day using the crusade against us.
Have you heard those who left Islam and what they say. It usually is a painful hard process which comes with regret, guilt of how they can turn their back on their prophet, and shame how can they turn their backs on him!

It's the Satan/Shaytaan that triggers it. He releases their anger. Also, the comments from the pope, was deffinetly not apropriate, your wrong there. Apoint like should not be made, and also like the cartoons. If we made a comment like that or pictures about another religion, what will happen to us? We can get arrested for things like that, but yet you see many non-muslims saying bad stuff about Islaam and everything is normal.
How can you let people abuse, discriminate, and say racists comments about your religion?
Its a free world, everyone has their opinions.. your true, they have their opinions on when someone gives a negative comment or opinion against the religion. Everyone has the rightsto defend their religion.... but I see your not a person like that..... are you?

i dont think most muslims do go crazy it put out of proportion by its media coverage thats all. Yes there are a small number of fanatics, but all religions have these, infact all groups in society do. In general i believe most religious people, whatever faith or not as the case may be, are peace loving people but a few will always hide behind religion to cover there own wrongdoings...such as terrorism etc. We had it in Ireland, the spanish have it with ETA and the world has it with Bin Laden it will never go away but we do need to remember its a minority and not get carried away blaming a whole group such as muslims.

Though many many years, countries and races fought for land and power but most of the major wars are caused by religion and beliefs.
It's not suprising that people would feel angry but other religions such as Muslin truly respect and honour their gods. I personally don't like the way the world still fights over religion or critizise other ones... It's what people did in the past..

I am not a Muslim but a Christian. I believe whatever one's belief is, it is his way of life that counts ultimately. All mainstream religions I am aware of teach only goodness. Life on earth is too short when compared to all eternity. So, let us all respect each other's beliefs and we could live in peace. And let the Almighty do the rest. After all, He is the One who has created us. I think that they, the other Muslims, "go crazy when ... against the religion." because they felt that their belief, Islam, was attacked and they wanted to defend their faith. So, "so stubborn", "go crazy" and "went Mental" are their ways of expressing themselves and registering their unhappiness, displeasure and discontent. This world, I believe, would be a much better place to live in if each and every one of us could be more sensitive to the feelings of others.

It's not the faith's fault, it's the majority of people who believe in it, I have read so much of the middle east past, back than they used to be normal when there were rich, but now that they are just down right broke azz, they use there religion as a defense to some small azz issues making seem big than later on getz there azzezz bombed, and those who had the power to change just endedd up repeating it'sefl, they don't strive for peace they strive for power.

Why would you say that if its your own religion? I know that's true, and I'm a Muslim myself. Yea.... you are right! Sometimes non-Muslims comment our religion and sometimes the Muslims get like totally mad! Maybe because they were born with stubborness. If its not that, then I don't know why some are stubborn.

They aren't. It's just a few idiots in every religion / government / movement who command a large crowd of followers that whip up the kind of hysteria you talk about. The same people who caused the crusades, got millions to go and die for them in the first world war, the rise of fascism, fueled the cold war, went into frenzied overdrive after 9/11, decided to invade Iraq etc etc. People generally believe what their leaders (or in the West their media) tell them. Most of it is biased hogwash, just propaganda. Most Muslims are no more militant than any other people on the planet. Most are too busy struggling to feed and cloth themselves, their spouse and the kids.

It is not the religion. It is some people go crazy for any reason. And when they do, the news people film, quote, etc. them. In world war 2, if you were Japanese and went crazy, it got on the front page. Now it is Muslims. Years from now it will be another group. Bad news sells...
