My boyfriend and I have been together for about 8 months. We are both in our mid twenties. His hectic schedule keeps him away for most of the week and when he comes home on the weekends he is usually tired and doesn't have time for me. Because he lives at home he feels the need to go above and beyond to compensate for him still living at home. The only reason that he is stil there is because he is rarely home so he isn't in a rush to buy his own place but he can afford it if he wanted. He even does too much for his family that doesn't live with him. After he does that and runs all the errands that he has to do for himself the weekend is over and it's back to work. We argue about this every weekend because I miss him so much and I'm also starting to resent his family. Am I really being selfish? Should I leave him or just try to be more understanding? I have to admit that I do get his undivided attention while he's on the road during the week. Help!!

Sounds to me like he is having commitment issues. He may love you but is afraid to settle down with anyone. He is using you.If I were you I would tell him how you feel and that if things do not change, you are leaving him. If you mean anything to him he will start showing you more attention(and not just when he is AWAY)!!!!

The way your boyfriend is acting now may be the way he acts for the rest of his life. He may always put his family before you and if your marry him you may end up second on his list of priorities. You need to tell him how you feel and if necessary break off the relationship, because if he really loves you he will want to make time for you. He needs to work on his priorities.

I am not sure about this...If he is that close to his family in one way it is commendable but it could get in the way later on down the line..I would rather have someone like that then a selfish bum...they say if a guy is good to his mother he will be good to his wife. or girl,..just hang in a while and see...maybe they do not know you too are close..and that is why you hear more while he is away..kind of confusing....
