Does this statement sound horrible to anyone else? Does anyone agree that the Dali Lama will burn in Gehenna? The lady also told me Ghandi would go to hell. The lady then told me NO sin can enter heaven. Does this mean that no good can enter hell? If so Where does all the internal goodness within people of other creeds go? Also doesn't the fact that sin can't enter heaven imply that free will doe not exist within the afterlife?

I'm not the judge of anyone, and right or wrong, I think you're Baptist friend overstepped some boundaries there. No one has access to the book of life.

If the dali lama is going to hell, he's going there because he oppressed his people. The lamas are the highest social class in Tibet, and the ruling class. They didn't build roads, have public education, help the people at all. They were not the saints that they have been made out to be. Sure, Tibet's not much better off under the Chinese - but they don't want the lamas back either.

But I'm an atheist, so I don't believe in hell. We all end up in the same place in the end.

It certainly seems like they don't approve of other religions except for the one they believe in.. And the afterlife isn't Christianity. Many people believe in many religions, there's no right or wrong and there's definetly nothing that proves anyone would go to hell if you did not accept Christ as a saviour. Many people will find that insulting and WILL get offended.. I doubt this lday never commited a sin. Everyone does and most will try to make up to it. Just know that believe in religion is only a part of life, not everything.

Considering that the hateful folks who are always deciding who goes to Hell are absolutely certain that they will be in Heaven and that people like the Dali Lama and Ghandi are going to Hell, it looks the company's certainly going to be a lot better in Hell!

I don't believe in the whole "accept Christ as your saviour or go straight to Hell" bit. I am an eclectic myself, and I accept teachings from Christianity, Wicca, Bhuddism, and Shintoism, and I've never once worried about having to burn for eternity. I feel that anyone who does more good than he/she does harm is pretty much safe. It's all about your beliefs, and what you feel is your goal/mission in this world. I feel that Heaven/Nirvana is a place that any man or woman gets into by doing his/her worth of good in the world. Any person that devotes their life to the betterment of this rock we call home(Earth) or to a cause worthy of praise (such as the acts conducted by Ghandi, Mother Teresa, and the Dali Lama) are certain to have their souls go to wherever their idea of paradise is. Heaven and Hell aren't places written in stone, and it's not definate that you'll get sent to Heaven because you worship God or that you'll be sent to Hell because you don't. Your mind, your soul, are your own and whatever you do in life that leads to your ultimate satisfaction or unsatisfaction will determine whether you will forever be in turmoil or at peace.

God created us as imperfect beings. the statement "no sin can enter heaven" therefore means that everyone except for jesus will go to hell. but that is not true. In the gospel, Jesus says that "only by the grace of god can one enter the kingdom of heaven."
as far as the "anybody that does not accept christ as their savior will burn in hell" statement, that is a matter of belief. the only way to find the answer to this, along with many theological questions, is to die and ask god yourself. And i doubt that anyone wants to do that

Didn't the first Dali Lama come before Jesus teaching things that Jesus later taught? So if the Dali Lama came before Jesus how would he be able to accept Christ as his savior?

Next time you look into this woman's face please take the opportunity to notice that you are having the rare privelage to view, in a nutshell (no pun intended) everything that is wrong with organized religion, and has caused so much strife, dissension, hate and bloodshed between different faiths over the millenia. Take it as a learning experience. Then, if you want to take it up a notch with God, pray for her. Because a person so deluded and filled with misguided bias is the one who is truly in danger of not seeing the Pearly Gates.

Why do people use FEAR to explain religion?.

The bible says your body dies. Your soul goes to the gates of heaven. The book of life is opened. If your name is in the book, you pass thru the gates of heaven to go into heaven. If your name is NOT in the book, you are carried by two angels to the lake of fire and thrown in where your soul then dies.

HELL was created in the mind of a man in the 1800's who wrote a book describing what he thought hell looked like. The book was popular, and his description became "fact".

Stop listening to this person.

Jesus said "No one goes to the Father except through me" so I would say if Jesus wanted these people to come in they would but, on the other hand he would have to apologize to all the people who were just good people who refused to take advantage of all the pain and suffering he went through for them. The biggest mistake people make is they put people first and God second if at all. That is the main number one offense. People are second!! Now if a person never heard about Jesus to reject him that would be a different story but have you ever loved your son so very much that you thought you would burst when you looked at him when he was a baby? I'm telling you those who Jesus went through this for without reason other than his love for us and the Father better look out when it comes to judgment time because the Father himself will say "You have no part of anything here" and he will send you to where you will have your fill of PEOPLE

some people are full of themselves

they cannot accept that a person with different views might be right or at least has some truth to them.

how a person can call G-d good and then say he "allows" a majority of the human populaiton to burn forever in hell is beyond me.
