there's this guy, that my friend went out w/ but he broke up w/ her because he was "stressed". we talk everyday and i feel a connection but im not sure.i had been friends w/ him before he went out w/ her and we still communicate. he calls me by nicknames and always smiles at me, i like him and if he asked me out, i would say yes, but... im just not sure, would it even be right for me to go out w/ my friend's ex? i mean, she's not my best friend and i would ask her first, but what would i do if she said no? because she is like best friends with all of my friends? im so confuzzled... help pleez

You don't need your friend's approval. Especially if you don't value the friendship that much. Hmmm . . . it sounds like it was more than stress that made him break it off. You should try talking to him more and asking him out if you like him! He probably isn't getting the hint. Good luck!

I agree with most of the posters here. I had my eye on someone and when my friend broke up with him I asked her if she minded if I went for him. She said she didn't care, so I did, and everything turned out fine.
One thing though-don't bother if he is the one who dumped her. DON'T EVEN ASK!!

I dunno, some guys are REALLY friendly so I wouldn't make a move unless I'm certain. But goin out with your friend's ex puts your friendship to an edge... I don't think you should take that risk.
And if you do decide to ask him out or anything, I think you should ask your friend.. I mean, If you were in your friend's position, how would you feel?

Find out from your friend if it's ok. If so go for it but make sure not to hurt her feelings or anything if you and this boy get serious...if she's your friend you'll find what's best for her and you.

Well i think that it could work b/c you have been friends for a long time that's what i get from what you said,but if your friend said no then you should respect her wishes.

If you were friends first and not close with the girl than don't ask her. Just go with your instincts.

he may liek you...but the first step is talk with ur friend..let her know cause she will only be mad if u go out and she finds out from someone else..also did he break up with ur friend? if so u might think about it before u get involved with him
