I watched a report on CNN last nite about a pregnant woman giving birth on a Mexican Airliner coming here.?

There was a woman coming in from Mexico to Chicago and CNN reported that the woman gave birth on the airplane. The reporter thought this was cute. I for one did not because it was obvious that the woman was coming to America for citizenship for her child and free hospitalization that you and I pay for. This must stop. Any ideas on how to deal with this illegal alien problem?

I lived in Sourthern California for 48 years and know that Calif. and the United States has a huge immigration problem. At least a dozen hospitals have closed down for good in the LA are because they have gone broke carring for illegals. It is the law they must be provided care. Hundreds of thousand of women come here every year to have there babies for free in our hospitals at taxpayers expense. The corrupt Mexican govt. encourages them to steal from us. I have friends of all races and this is not a racial issue that the detractors try to make it (very shallow). I realize that she was coming in legally however she was coming here to bypass the proper way of becoming a resident. The country of Mexico refuses to fix itself so it is dragging us down .

I just checked it out on the CNN web site and the news blurb last nite did not specify who she was or anything but I was right. The woman was from Guadalajara, Mexico and was coming to visit relatives in Milwaukee. Please people if you are 9 months preg. you do not go flying around unless you are attempting to have the baby someplace else.

Here we go again with the pro and illegal crowd using foul language and screaming racism. I hear your pain dear, as do close to 90% of Americans, concerning illegals from Mexico coming here. In this particular situation, it is a bit unfair to accuse out right but in all reality what you suggest is probubly true.
What person, in their right mind, knowing when the birth of their child is due, jumps on an airplane and heads for another country? Could it have been planned? Duh, I think so. But what can you or any of us say, it was a legal act. Period. In fairness none of this is known so the rest of us really can only GUESS at what's going on. Illegal entry is the real problem.
Point is, if anchor baby laws were not on the books, this stuff wouldn't be possible and we wouldn't be guessing at it here and now. I too would like to see that law repealed. At least for a time. Consider that the LEGAL immigration allowance for Mexicans is 50% of the American immigration quota. The other 50% goes to accomodate the rest of the world. To include other latin countries and beyond. Then we have anchor babies. And THEN we have 10-20 million illegals jumping the border annually. Now, how fair is all that to say, Americans?
Sounds/feels abundantly clear to me that Mexico is getting way more play than anyone else in the world. Both legal and otherwise. If our CORRUPTED American government wanted to comply with the will of the people of the USA, it would end anchor baby status. A drop of rain in the storm compared to the illegals that rain in huge typhoons of human misery, crime, poverty and desperateness, that continue to comprosmising the future of America. Yah! first off did it say she was illegal or did your just assume that? I have flown many times from here to mexico and I was born in the US. And also she would have gotten and bill from the hospital it wouldn't have been free she was not on any goverment assitance

Yes, as a matter of fact, I do have an idea - get rid of the "anchor baby" law. That alone would cut down on a huge amount of the incentives for illegal immigration!

Get rid of the anchor baby law, and make it so that at least one parent of the child has to be a legal citizen of the US in order for the child to get citizenship.
