I think some of them cannot accept the fact that not everyone believes as they do. I think they see it as an affront to them personally. Also, a lot of "hate" comes from ingrained ideas and those are hard to defeat.

You cannot make people stop hating each other. All you can do is try to, with your own life as an example, show them how we should all treat each other. Now, as far as the middle east, children over there are brainwashed into hating Jews and Americans from birth and we cannot change that unless we win a war and completely revamp their education system All a Christian can do is be an example and pray for a very sick world.

There are a lot more people than you think out there trying to do good. But sometimes there is just too much hate that fills this world, if more people helped maybe more people would make a difference! That was a good question though, hopefully it will make someone realize they have to help.

We are. We are telling people about the God who IS love and not only told us to love but also give us power to love others.
But we are not yet perfect. Though we desire to always be loving, we still make mistakes. Being a Christian is a process. But true Christian each is growing in overcoming the influences of the world.

Not all Christians are hateful just like not all people of other faiths are merciful. Religion has nothing to do why some of us are hateful. I have come to a conclusion that ignorance causes hatefulness among people and it's religion's duty to enlighten people.

because pride has consumed them leading to a rewording of the Biblical law and now you can read the bible anyway you want.
By the way lady do you cover your head when you go out or are you disregarding comformity too? Maybe we aren't the only ones not trying to stop the hate.

I thought we were. I am. Everyone in my church is trying to. The problem is, every time we tell anyone that Jesus came to save them, they start hating us because we have just told them they needed saving.
Christ was even hated and crucified for his message of love and salvation and... well, "trying to stop the hate." Go figure!!
Hey, at least haters seem to hate less at Christmas. Maybe we could try harder at this time, whattaya think?

that'll depend on what u mean by trying to stop. lots times trying to stop violent would creat more violent. The best thing to do is love even those who hurts u, but it sucks that most of time they take ur love for granted. Still, that's all u can do; love them

oddly enough some are....simply by quoting the Bible. the weird part of it is that most people don't like what the Bible says. they then get mad at Christians because of what God says.
SORRY TO ALL THOSE OUT THERE...GET MAD AT GOD, NOT CHRISTIANS
that's where the hate comes from

Christians are sinners, too. As Paul stated, "The good I desire to do, I do not do, and the evil which I do not want to do, I do." We are still living with our sinful human nature, which, unfortunately, too often prevents us from doing the things that we know we should.
Hope that helps. God bless!
