I am an observant Jew, and I follow all the halachos, (Jewish laws) but I am plagued by doubt. No religion has any real proof, but a G-dless existence is simply too empty, and I need meaning in my life. How can I be sure I am believing in the right G-d, and that there is one at all? How can I know that I am doing the right things every day of my life? Besides for following the Torah, (Bible) I try very hard to be a good person, and treat others as I would like to be treated. Can someone help me?

(This is a serious question, looking for serious answers.)

as one observant Jew to another.

your absolutely 100% right. There is no fool proof way of knowing that G-d exists. Regardless of what people in Aish HaTorah say. But that is how it is supposed to be. If G-d was so obvious in the world it would be too easy.

I have searched I am confident that if there is a G-d Judaism is the right path for a Jew. I have studied Christianity and I have found it is very faulty. Islam requires that I put my full faith in one Mans visions a book that was dictated.

You are free to study as well. I have only found it can shape ones imunah in a positive way even if it was not as strong as before at least its not blind.

Also if you want study Jewish History. For myself I have found that to be the most powerful message. If G-d dose exist he makes himself known in the history books (this is my opinion). If you want to talk feel free to email me.

Your bible is a good way of religious but the interpretation may be not the good way. 40 years ago, I learnt in a church subsidery class. I learnt bible from the teacher that Adam was drove off Eden because Adam broke the commitment with god that he ate the fruit of clarify sin and holly tree. I asked the question was why god trapped Adam. A father will not trap his children. The teacher said I was not respect to god and punished me by coping the bible first chapter 10 times. 10 years later I asked the same questioned to other priest who said the sin is to classify which is sin and which is holly. If so, there will be some stand points to support you and other people, there will be some arguement and there will be fight and kill follow. that is the sin origin. It is not the commitment between god and Adam.

If you want to understand more about religious, the budha suttra will be the best. It is because there were many learnt men useing senses, scients to prove and standpoint there speech.

Tell you a great secret. you are Budha! After you understand the religious and the budhas suttras, you will know it.

The one to go to is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob Himself. Address Him that way in prayer and ask that He reveal Himself to you that you can beleive without doubt that He is your God.

Then be like Elijah in the cave and listen carefully so that you can hear Hims speak to you directly or through others:

1 Kings 19:11-13

11 The LORD said, "Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the LORD, for the LORD is about to pass by."

Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the LORD, but the LORD was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the LORD was not in the earthquake. 12 After the earthquake came a fire, but the LORD was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. 13 When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave.

Then a voice said to him, "What are you doing here, Elijah?"
(from New International Version)

If you are not sure, than you are not believing in the "right God". If you believed in the right God, you would not have a doubt.

Of course, there is only one God, but you need to find the right path to him.

You may try "Rational Spirituality" available on the Dhaxem website. Conveyed from the Source only in February 2006, it had already become the thinking person's modern bible.

If you have an intellect, and get the Concept, and if this does not connect you to God, then nothing ever will.

Perhaps it doesn't do to think of God in terms of "right" or "wrong". Doing so places our own limitations on God and God will not be limited by our notions.

There is a theologian that I respect named Karen Armstrong. She is a former Catholic nun and has spent a lifetime studying and writing on religion. Her bottom line conclusion is that she has no use for ANY religious system that violates the Golden Rule. In other words she rejects any religion that disrespects or represses other people. If your religion and your understanding of God helps you to live a better life and prevents you from mistreating others perhaps you're doing as well as anyone can.

Look up Karen Armstrong's books in the library if you're so inclined.

for the most part you can't know. not until you die and meet your maker- or meet no maker in the chance that there is no god.

yuo can find a god whose teachings make you feel liek your doing the right thing and doesn't hurt your councious (moral thought).
I think god will love you and be happy if you are a good person. but if you don't believe that it doesn't matter. this is a hard question with a stupid, worthless answer. I'm sorry, this is something you're stuck doing alone.

Is your uncertainty brought about by using what the Lord says or what so-spoke of as Christians say? do no longer you think of it could be a greater secure wager to believe contained in the Lord and not guy? Jesus fulfilled the regulation and the Prophets. He grew to become the sole proper sacrifice for the sins of the international (the regulation) and He fulfilled some 3 hundred prophesies of His first coming (the Prophets). Jesus stated it Himself, "I even have not some to eliminate the regulation." So we are nevertheless admonished to maintain on with the regulation, yet we are no longer held to the implications of our sins because of the fact Jesus has already paid for them. In different words, we ought to continuously no longer sin, yet as quickly as we do, we ought to continuously ask forgiveness and the Lord is righteous to forgive us. If we confess our sins, he's truthful and in simple terms and could forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. – a million John a million:9

You are halfway there. You are about to realize that the concept of a supreme being is silly and false. Take the final step, and embrace reality. Look to yourself and your friends to fill any emptiness, as trying to fill the void with a fictional character will cause you no end of grief.

Hey,

there is no "Real God", there's but One god. The difference between religions, in my opinion, is the way they see god, and how they worship him/her. I'm a christian, i believe in god, but i also believe in his son. I know muslims who believe in god, but they also believe in Mohammed.

As for how to find God......Nobody can really tell you how, you fell him inside you, all arround you, in other. You see him through the eyes of the beggar, through the smile of a child, or the smell of a lover.

If you want to be sure that what you're doing is the right thing to do, well are you happy with what you're doing?

Don't worry, everyone goes through a period where he doubts everything.

One Only God thank G-D
"The Jews said that the Christians follow nothing (i.e. are not on the right religion); and the Christians said that the Jews follow nothing (i.e. are not on the right religion); though they both recite the Scripture. Like unto their word, said (the pagans) who know not. Allah will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection about that wherein they have been differing"[Quran Surah 2 AlBaqarah :113]
