T totally agree with the water spray bottle trick, however, they love to plan their 'attacks' when your sleeping!

I elevate my tree onto a platform . . . .surround the entire tree in 3' high 'chicken' wire. Then you can get very creative decorating the fence - looks great!

in the experience that your kitten is inappropriately urinating (consequently, on the tree skirt) then she desires to verify the vet. beside the point urination is often a demonstration that some thing isn't dazzling medically, she could have a UTI or crystals. the two way, dig out that $40 (in all likelihood greater with tests) and head on over to the vet.

There are two I know of. One spray your tree with citrus smelling spray. Cats *hate* that.Trust me other wise let it climb up to the top of the tree and then take it out. After it sees the high it was at it will be scared to try it again. In less its like my Starr. In that cause then you the best thing it just keep telling her no. Even if she just looks at the tree.

LOL!!! Well, my cats kept trying to climb in my Christmas tree and well, to keep them out, we would spray them with water from a squirt bottle. They haven't tried since!! Hope this works!!!

The best way is to isolate either the kittens or the tree. Short of that, there is no way. If they want to go there and can get there, they will.

One good way is to surround the bottom of the tree with baloons...try red and green if you want to be festive. The sweet little darlings will think they are toys... and their claws will pop them. It will scare them and they will stay away from the tree after that....as they will associate the tree with the scare.

You cannot watch the kittens every second of the day. Keep them out of the room. That is the only way.

Fill a spray bottle with water and spray them everytime they climb the tree.

Put a dog under the tree ;)

Maybe try double sided tape on the trunk, I know that works for stopping them from using your furniture as a scratching post.
