Why isn't he paying rent?

See, I like how people actually answered this and not just have a hissy fit.

You should answer with: he pays with love.

IF Jesus lives in your heart, it's becasue you gave it to Him, when you give a gift you don't ask for rent. But even so, the one that gets the most out of the whole deal is you, cuz without Jesus you're a castaway from heaven. He don't need to pay rent if he owns your heart. But in the event He doesn't live there, you lose big time.

He bought and payed for you at Calvary. He can go any place He wants. He won't ride with you long if you don't want Him there, but the ride alone is what has gotten humans into the trouble they are in. I suggest you let Jesus in and He will help you pay your rent. He will also help you maintain every thing you attain. If you do it alone you have no way to maintain it and it will always fail. It really isn't necessary to get to the point where you cannot maintain. You can head life off at the pass and get into the rightful place you are suppose to be, to be a complete package. Accept the reality of Jesus Christ and His Lordship before it is too late.

He paid the price with His precious blood when He was crucified.

Did you know that Jesus was prophesied about in the Old Testament over 300 times? And that all of the bible prophecy that has been fulfilled so far has been 100 % accurate.

(Just wanted to add that since you are agnostic)

I encourage you to read and study the bible. We can know that God is real and that Jesus lived breathed, walked this earth and paid the utltimate price for our sins on the cross.

If he actually did live in your heart, you wouldn't be concerned with what it cost.

He only lives in the hearts of those who invite Him in.

Rev 3:20
20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.

He already paid with His life. He wants to live in your heart but He won't force Himself on you.
