A guy walks into the local welfare office for his monthly check.
He marches straight up to the counter and says, "Hi. You know, I just HATE coming in here drawing welfare month after month. I'd really much rather have a job.
The social worker behind the counter says, "Your timing is excellent.
We just got a job opening from a very wealthy old man who wants a chauffeur-bodyguard for his nymphomaniac daughter. You'll have to drive around in his Mercedes, but he'll supply all of your clothes.
Because of the long hours, meals will be provided. You'll be expected to escort her on her overseas holiday trips. You'll have a two-bedroom apartment above the garage. The starting salary is $200,000 a year."
The guy says, "You're bullshitting me!"
The social worker says, "Yeah, well, you started it."

Well, I suppose it takes all kinds. I had the experience of needing help from the Dept. of Human Resourses. I had become sick while my husband had lost his job due to the terrorists attacks on 9-11. Although the money helped save our family the experience was a degrading one. I have worked all of my teen and adult life and was never more horrified at the way this system works and is abused by so many from the recipients to the workers. I pray that I never have to rely on this system again. As a tax payer and an American we can and should do much better.

you think the US welfare is JOKE,you should come to the uk to try ours,
if you are an immigrant,you get free everything,without having to prove a thing..
if you are single/widowed you live on the povety line,
if you are disabled you have to prove you are unfit for work,even if you cant walk

That's funny...to bad some don't see it that way. Like every other system, the welfare system has people who do abuse the system, but those are the minority.
This joke is about those abusers, not the rest.. And I think its funny.
