Your parents always know whats best for you. When we are young we think otherwise but as you get older you start to look back and wish you had listened to your parents.

Do you have a good reason not to go? Was your dad getting you a car a condition about going to church?

No, it is not right for your father to hold something like that over you. I am assuming he gave you the car with no strings attached. Despite what parents and TOMTABEAR thinks, parents do not always know what is best. But the bottom line is he can take your car (right or not) if you do not do what he says. Just count the days until you can be out on your own and out from under his thumb.

No, I did not realize as I got older that my parents were right most of the time. As I got older, I realized they were controlling and abusive.

No one have the right to control u..even if he is ur dad..he should try to guide u not operate u the way he want u to be. But going to Church is a good idea 2.

ultimately, when you don't want to go to church is the time you should make a special at tempt to. Satan knows there will be an important message so he makes you not want to go. besides don't you want to be closer to God? that car should not be the only reason you go to church, and if it is then it should be taken away anyways.

Granted he bought it...but the real question is...who's name is it in? Who pays for the insurance? Who pays for the gas? Who makes the car payment? If all of these or most of these are answered with the word DAD...then you better do as he says. But if the answer to these are YOU...then do as you wish. But remember...... if you believe in church and god...isn't one of the commandments...Honor thy mother and thy father?

Well good luck in your decision.

Athiest signing off.....ciao

Who's name is on the title of the car? I'd be willing to bet his is. If it is, he can do ANYTHING he wants with the car because by law HE is the owner of the car. If your name isn't on the title it's not YOUR car.

Take it for the day, a week ? It may not be right but I assume you are minor therefore you should do as your father wishes unless you have a good reason for not going to church. :o(

Tell him, as a religious person he shouldnt try to bribe you and he should want you to attend this kinda thing by force it should be a choice... If the car is in ur name then there is nothing he can do
