Absolutely. If you dog lifted his leg before he was neutered, he should continue to do so. My male great dane has never lifted his leg, and he was neutered, and still does not lift his leg.

Yes.
Our vet told us that when a dog pees strictly for elimination, he or she will squat. If the dog, though, is marking territory, etc., he or she will lift a leg.
I think that's right. Our last dog, a neutered male, almost never lifted his leg, and he was a really submissive dog. Our current dog, a neutered female, is much more outgoing, and she does about half and half.

It depends on how old the dog was when it was neutered. If it was a pup, then it never developed the hormonal desire to lift its leg and mark stuff. If it was an adult dog, then it will continue to lift its leg out of habit.

yes...I nave a male boston terrier and he still does. When he was a puppy he would life his leg in the house. I had him neutered and that helped that problem. Dogs lift their legs to mark their territory and to tell other dogs "ive been here". When he is neutered he will still lift his leg and mark his territory, but it will be outside (that was my problem). This is just how they go...

Yes, if he did it before, he still do it. My male dog was neutered at a early age, before he learn to lift his leg, and he never witnessed other males....so at the age of three, he still squats! It's ok with me, my plants are still safe from him!!!!

Well, either the answer is yes or the vet didn't whack my dog good enough...
He still hikes his leg up in the air and tries to get out of the yard, though when out he wanders a little more aimlessly...kinda like he's on a mission but has no clue what the objective is.

yes, if it lifted it's leg before, the main resson they do this is to scent mark an area, so if the scent is placed high up a tree or lamp post it will give of a scent more, and longer than it would if it scent marked the ground.
