Yes. That is the ONLY way to remarry spiritually.

Of course! God is opposed to divorce if there are not dire circumstances, such as cheating, abuse, ect. He wants us to be happy. He wants us to be married and live a blessed life. My advice to you though is to make sure the man you do remarry is a Christian as well. My husband is not and I feel so much pain when I think that he won't spend eternity with me and I can't stand the fact that he might influence our children with his logic and scientific reason for everything. Good luck and God bless.

Yes!!! :) It is not your fault that your husband cheated on you. Get out there. Try to find a christian man who has never cheated. I am glad you asked this question. Dont listen to anyone who says that you cant remarry.

Matthew 5:32
But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.

Matthew 19:8
Jesus replied, "Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning.

Matthew 19:9
I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery."

1 Corinthians 7:10-12 (New International Version)

10To the married I give this command (not I, but the Lord): A wife must not separate from her husband. 11But if she does, she must remain unmarried or else be reconciled to her husband. And a husband must not divorce his wife.

12To the rest I say this (I, not the Lord): If any brother has a wife who is not a believer and she is willing to live with him, he must not divorce her.

I truly believe you should not go "Looking" for another man. Give yourself time to heal. Who knows what may happen? Your husband could be reunited with you. But, if by some accident, and not a dating scenario, you find yourself in mutual love with another I am sure it would be acceptable.

Before anyone gets mad at me for my post consider this. I come from a divorced home and my mother never remarried. My Dad lives with another woman and yet they get together for family events. I treat my not married to mother in law with respect and teach my kids to call her grandma too. But, I wonder, had they both kept their distance and allowed for healing ...

Hmmmm. This is a difficult question. For Catholics, divorce must go along with an annulment (done by review of the Church), which basically means that the marriage was not properly celebrated in the first place. Divorce is strictly prohibited.

I can't think of any Christian organization that would not allow her to remarry.

Perhaps the Catholic Church is the strictest about divorce and remarriage, however in a case like this, I cannot imagine that even they would object.

I'm assuming that legally she would have the right to a lawful divorce and another marriage, of course it depends on where you are talking about.
