The cost of braces varies, but you can expect the cost to be between $1,800 and $5,500. Some insurance carriers provide partial coverage for orthodontic treatment while others provide none at all. Check with your insurance provider for the specifics of what your policy covers.
That does not included the visits to the orthodontis though.

The cost of braces varies depending on a person's mouth, the type of materials used, and where in the United States you live. Some people have to be in braces for longer, and that typically will cost more. The best way to know how much braces will cost is to find an orthodontist and schedule a consultation. If that doesn't satisfy you, get a second opinion from another orthodontist. Good luck!

I work for an orthodontist and it varies how much the treatment will cost. It also depends on what you really need. Sometimes only people need are retainers, or invisalign or braces. It will depend on the severity of your mouth! I think you should go in for an exam, sometimes these intial exams are free. Then you would go in for diagnostic records which are digital xrays of the mouth and those you will have to pay for up front. Then you will have a treatment conference and then they will explain what they will do for you and how much it will cost. At my place we give the option of a down payment and then monthly installments. I had them when I was 9. I am 26 now and will need them again. I think that you should find out what you need first and then contact your insurance company to see what they cover. The place you go will more then likely contact the insurance for you and then will have it at the treatment conference. I know if you have state aid, it will only pay for it if it is going to affect your bite later on in life. Good luck!

We went to several dentists for our daughter. Prices ranged from around 3000 to over 7000 dollars, depending on how 'modern' you want to get.
We went to Dr. Mike (the guy on the Simpsons), because we are cheap.

Depends on your insurance and your dentist. I would expect them to be at least $2500.
