Weiner Dogs mostly.
They are best broiled or cooked on a grill. Once in a while I use my George Forman grill.
You also must use mustard. Ketchup is not good on a dog.

It's a mix of 5 well peeled Poodles and 2 Great Danes chopped into small pieces then put through a blender then you take a box of condoms and fill them with the mix,tie the end with dental floss and boil. Walla you have HOT DOGS !!!! They are good on the BBQ also !!!!!

Depends on the country of production, Chinese prefer smaller breeds, while Taiwanese prefer larger breeds. America uses whatever is available, but prefer aged meat.

hot dogs were originally German, so i'd say Dachshund if you want to go authentic.
everyone knows that modern hot dogs are made of dead people though.
