You need to call all three credit bureau's to let them know this information is false. You would need the necessary documents to prove your death. Since you are not dead, and can't provide these documents, they should help you clear it. I have both addresses and phone numbers.
Equifax
P.O. Box 105496
Atlanta, GA. 30348-5496

Experian

Allen, TX 75013-2104

TransUnion
P.O. Box 2000
Chester, PA 19022

You might also want to contact the Social Security Administration as well.

Well, I am not sure exactly what "dead" you are talking about. Assuming you are talking about no hearbeat, call the companies or get a lawyer to clear things. If dead, meaning not finacially active, go get a credit card and charge and pay for some things.

Every year I have to prove I am still alive to receive money from Europe they send a form and I only have to take it to the bank who knows me and they notarize the form and I 'm alive!!!.
Ask the credit report company, Experian , Exquifax or Trans Union for some paperwork to enable you to get proof.

Your bank, call all 3 credit companies and tell them, any of your credit card companies may offer protection for this. They have to provide a death certificate to prove that you ARE dead, they probably can't. You may need legal help if someone stole your identity.

I like Bella Donna's method. Write a letter disputing your 'death' to the credit bureau. Have it notarized. The notary statement that you are the person that signed the letter should be enough to force them to correct your record or show their source. If they have 'Proof', at least you no what records need corrected.
