We just moved to Portland from another state.....and love it here. So much to do and see !!!! Ashland is cute..sort of artsy. The coastal towns are nice for a visit, but to live there...I don't think so. Nothing much to do, hardly any good stores, Dr.'s or hospitals. Also cold, windy and rainy....a lot. It all depends on what you are looking for. With us..we want it all....that's why we picked Portland to relocate.

Good luck on your move !

It depends on taste. If you have to live in a city, the portland area is nice. If you like isolation, the Bend-Redmond area is for you. If you want a mix of everything, Move to Salem. It's a mid-size town. The nice thing about Oregon is that no matter where you live, your a day or less drive from the beach or the mountains.

I used to live in Klamath Falls, beautiful country. If I ever get a chance to move back to Oregon, I'd probably chose Ashland or Eugene,

Depends on what you're looking for. Corvallis is nice because it is a college town, Ashland is nice because it is upscale, Portland is nice because it is big city.
