The fact that you're able to write that message tells me that you're alive. That's a good thing...something that's really important and to give thanx for. That's the philosphical answer. The hard core answer would be: to get off your hindparts and get involved w/ something, be it helping someone out less fortunate, helping out in the house, showing your appreciation to those you love, etc. and stop feeling sorry for yourself. OR! We could go to the joke routine: Why did the turtle cross the street? Give up? To get to the "shell" station! Ha Ha!! Cheer up, lil' girl. Tis the season to be merry.

I don't believe anyone can "put someone else in a good mood". People are responsible for their own feelings and friends will try and cheer you up with all good intentions, but at the end of the day it is up to you. If you are depressed, there is a reason and you can help yourself by working through this, taking a day (or a moment) at a time and treating yourself well. If you are feeling depressed for more than a two week period and have trouble coping, don't be afraid to talk with your Doctor or a Counsellor. We all have bad periods in life, and they eventually pass and you move on - but to make it easier - take charge of yourself. All the best !!

It depends if you're depressed over an event that took place, or if you've got the medical condition called depression related to chemical imbalances in the brain. If it's the former, then here's what you do: call your closest friends and get together with them, it's no fun to be alone or to talk on the phone. From there go somewhere where there are a lot of people who are enjoying themselves and have a few drinks and talk to as many people as you can, strangers are the ultimate form of confidential personal conversations.

I was just thinking how bummed out I was when I came across your question. We need to keep this in mind. This too shall pass. Call up a friend and go out even if it is just to sit and drink a soda pop. Take a walk. Get that adrenaline going. The Holiday Season can be a time for so many people to get down. We shall not allow ourselves to. Find some hobby to do and get into that. Mostly remember that you are a unique person. Go on now...shoo!

The Princess & The Gay Flight Attendant
There was a gay flight attendant who seemed to put everyone into a good mood as he served them food and drinks.
As the plane prepared to descend, he came swishing down the aisle and announced to the passengers,"Captain Marvey has asked me to announce that he'll be landing the big scary plane shortly, lovely people, so if you could just put up your trays that would be super."
On his trip back up the aisle, he noticed that a well dressed, rather exotic looking woman hadn't moved a muscle.
"Perhaps you didn't hear me over those big brute engines. I asked you to raise your trazy-poo so the main man can pitty-pat us on the ground."
She calmly turned her head and said, "In my country, I am called a Princess. I take orders from no one."
The flight attendant, without missing a beat, replied, "Well,sweet-cheeks, in my country, I'm called a Queen, so I outrank you. Put the tray up, *****."

actually by telling someone you love them, that usually puts me in a good mood. I think depression is influenced from the lack of outside support and comfort. So like just tell someone you love that you love them, you're glad they're there, if they wern't you probably won't see a reason for life...idk. *hugs* hehe that works too

It's Saturday night, go to the bar, sit at the bar, listen to the other depressed people, and then go with first guy that asks you. You might not get over your depressed feeling but you might have fun.

Some things in life are bad,
They can really make you mad.
Other things just make you swear and curse.
When you're chewing on life's gristle,
Don't grumble, give a wistle!
And this'll help things turn out for the best...
And...
...always look on the bright side of life!
(whistle)
Always look on the bright side of life...
If life seems jolly rotten,
There's something you've forgotten!
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing,
When you're feeling in the dumps,
Don't be silly chumps,
Just purse your lips and whistle -- that's the thing!
And... always look on the bright side of life...
